Where it began...
Forthay Granola was created in the farmhouse kitchen of our bed and breakfast, situated in the idyllic location in Gloucestershire’s Cotswold Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). We have always made gluten free granola as part of our guests’ breakfast. The guests raved about our granola and thankfully persuaded us to sell it by the bag. Each bag is handmade and freshly baked to order.
“Faced with an increasingly frenetic lifestyle it’s all too easy to forget to prioritise our own health,” says Deborah, a cancer survivor, who is conscious of diet, health, nutrition and wellbeing in her everyday life and applies this philosophy to her farmhouse kitchen and at Forthay Bed & Breakfast.
“Enthusiastic amateur chef, avid baker, recipe creator and studying Nutritionist, Deborah Lamplugh, developed a range of granola with her passion for concocting recipes using healthy, natural ingredients with no processed sugar or additives, to create nutritional flavoursome food to cleanse and fuel the mind and body.”
Forthay Bed & Breakfast
Forthay is a 17th Century grade 2 listed farmhouse made from Cotswold stone bursting with character and charm.
Set in the idyllic location in the rural hamlet of Forthay, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). We are overlooked by Tyndale Monument, on the Cotswold Way, and surrounded by rolling Gloucestershire countryside.
Forthay is the perfect retreat for guests who are looking for peaceful, relaxed accommodation with a touch of luxury.
Guests have use of the cosy snug, complete with log burning stove, maps and magazines about the local area, a library of books and a selection of board games. The snug also has superfast WiFi.
We have 3 luxury bedrooms, all with private bathrooms, Egyptian cotton bedding, luxury toiletries and fluffy bath sheets.
We can provide evening meals, have a licensed bar and we are very dog friendly.
